From E14 to E27

An adapter fitting is used when you have a lamp with a different fitting than the lamp holder. This way it is still possible to use the desired lamp without having to convert a lot. Make sure that the lamp fits the dimensions. For example, an e14 socket is often used for candle lamps or other compact lamps. So if you change from E14 to E27, it is also important that the lamp itself fits in terms of size.

From E27 to E14

If you want to choose an adapter fitting online, the first thing you should do is look at which fitting is in a lamp holder. Then you look at the fitting of the lamp you want to mount in the lamp holder. For example, if the socket of the lamp holder is a large E27 fitting and the lamp has an E14 fitting then you choose an E27 to E14 reducer fitting. The lamp's socket is often also written in small letters on the bulb.
